Ancient wisdom + modern science

“the natural healing force within each of us is the greatest force in getting well. our food should be our medicine. Our medicine our food.”

— Hippocrates

“our task is not to treat the disease, but the patient.”

— Vincent Preissnitz (1799-1851)

join the wellness revolution.

Chronic disease develops over time as a result of a complex interplay between our genes, stressors, diet, lifestyle, and environment. We must all do better at addressing the factors that have created the dysfunction, rather than becoming lost in the symptoms. If you or a loved one are struggling with ongoing symptoms despite conventional therapy, there may be a need to dig deeper. There is more to wellness than treating symptoms. This is an intuitive knowing and more are connecting with this truth.

Science is catching up to what ancient and traditional healers have discovered on their own - nature has provided us with much of what we need to prevent many diseases from starting and progressing. We honor and access this knowledge to unlock the wisdom that is available. As advancements in functional medicine, nutrition, and lab analysis have grown, so too has our ability to more objectively define, target, and monitor biomarkers associated with increased risk for disease. This allows not only for a more informed, proactive, and preventative approach, but often a more gentle one as well, as the body’s inherent healing mechanisms are strengthened rather than suppressed.

The effect of chronic stress is also not to be underestimated. The movement towards wellness and health optimization rather than disease management is growing, as humanity evolves to the deep realization that it is no longer sufficient to address only the physical body when the goal is a life lived fully.
